Pistou Sauce

A scrumptious sauce that comes from France. It is traditionally a tad greener in color than the one we made. The french serve it in a soup. We think it is great on crostini bread or as a condiment on grilled chicken. Give it a try!

Ingredients
  

  • 2 Cups Basil
  • 2 Roma Tomatoes Diced Minced, or Processed
  • 1 Cup Gouda Cheese Finely Shredded
  • 1 Clove Garlic Optional
  • 1/4 Cup Olive Oil
  • 1/4 Teaspoon Salt

Instructions
 

  • Deseed the tomatoes and discard the seeds
  • Mince or grate the clove of garlic do not depend on the food processor to mince it fine enough
  • Add all ingredients to the food processor and pulse for 2-3 seconds
