Frozen Wonton Meal

A satisfying meal in under 20 minutes. This dish starts with some frozen prepared wontons and adds is a vegetable and sauce component.

  • 16 Frozen Mini Wontons I used the chicken and cilantro wontons from Costo, it was only $6 for a huge bag.
  • ¼ White Onion sliced
  • 3 Baby Carrots cut into matchsticks
  • 6 stems Broccolini
  • 1 Teaspoon Fresh Ginger minced
  • 1 Clove Garlic minced
  • 3 Tablespoons Orange Juice
  • 2 Tablespoons Chicken Stock
  • 2 Teaspoons Lime Juice
  • 1 Tablespoons Butter
  • 2 Tablespoons of Soy Sauce
  • 2 Tablespoons of Rice Wine Vinegar
  • Ground Black Pepper to taste


  • Heat a frying pan to medium heat and add the butter.
  • Once melted, add the broccolini , carrots, onion, garlic, and ginger.
  • Cook for 5-6 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • Add the frozen wontons to the pan, mix and let cook for 1 minute.
  • Add the lime juice, orange juice, chicken stock, and soy sauce.
  • Cover the pan with a lid and cook 5-6 minutes on medium heat.
  • Add the black pepper and rice wine vinegar.
  • Put the lid back on the pan and cook for another 2 minutes.
  • Turn the heat off, leave the lid on and let sit for 2 minutes before serving


You can use broccoli or Brussel sprouts
If you prefer a crispy wonton simply pan fry the the wontons 1st, then remove to a plate.  Add over the vegetables once they are cooked.
