Frozen Wonton Meal
A satisfying meal in under 20 minutes. This dish starts with some frozen prepared wontons and adds is a vegetable and sauce component.
Ingredients
- 16 Frozen Mini Wontons I used the chicken and cilantro wontons from Costo, it was only $6 for a huge bag.
- ¼ White Onion sliced
- 3 Baby Carrots cut into matchsticks
- 6 stems Broccolini
- 1 Teaspoon Fresh Ginger minced
- 1 Clove Garlic minced
- 3 Tablespoons Orange Juice
- 2 Tablespoons Chicken Stock
- 2 Teaspoons Lime Juice
- 1 Tablespoons Butter
- 2 Tablespoons of Soy Sauce
- 2 Tablespoons of Rice Wine Vinegar
- Ground Black Pepper to taste
Instructions
- Heat a frying pan to medium heat and add the butter.
- Once melted, add the broccolini , carrots, onion, garlic, and ginger.
- Cook for 5-6 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Add the frozen wontons to the pan, mix and let cook for 1 minute.
- Add the lime juice, orange juice, chicken stock, and soy sauce.
- Cover the pan with a lid and cook 5-6 minutes on medium heat.
- Add the black pepper and rice wine vinegar.
- Put the lid back on the pan and cook for another 2 minutes.
- Turn the heat off, leave the lid on and let sit for 2 minutes before serving
Notes
Variations:
You can use broccoli or Brussel sprouts
If you prefer a crispy wonton simply pan fry the the wontons 1st, then remove to a plate. Add over the vegetables once they are cooked.
