Ingredients
  

  • 2 Cups Flour
  • 1 Tbs Baking Powder
  • 1 Tsp Salt
  • ½ Tsp Sugar
  • 1 Cup Milk 2% or higher
  • 1/2 Cup Shortening
  • ¼ Cup Butter softened not melted
  • 1 Tsp Honey
  • 3 Tsp Butter melted

Instructions
 

  • Mix all dry ingredients together in a bowl (flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar).
  • Add the shortening and ¼ soft butter in, using 2 knives (slice it into the flour mixture, don’t mix with a spoon). It should still be dry and clumpy.
  • Add the milk to mixture ¼ cup at a time and incorporate.
  • Preheat oven to 425 degrees F.
  • Turn the dough onto a floured surface and sprinkle more flour on top. Form into a large bowl and knead 5-7 times.
  • Roll the dough into a long snake-like shape and cut 2-1/2 ” thick
  • Place biscuits on a sheet pan with a silicone mat or parchment paper cook for 15 minutes.
  • When you take the biscuits out of the oven, brush melted butter over the top of each one and then drizzle the honey.
