Pumpkin French Bake


  • 1 Loaf of Bread (Challah, Texas Toast, dinner rolls)
  • 1 Can Pumpkin Puree
  • 2 Tablespoons of White Sugar
  • 6 Eggs Beaten
  • 1 ½ Teaspoons of Vanilla extract
  • 2  Teaspoons of Ground Cinnamon
  • ¼ Teaspoon of Ground Nutmeg
  • ½ Cup Brown Sugar
  • 2  Tablespoon of Flour
  • 2  Tablespoons of.Butter (softened)


  1. Cut up the bread into 1-2” bite-size pieces, and put into a greased baking dish with a base of butter or nonstick spray.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine egg, cinnamon, nutmeg, vanilla, and beat together.
  3. Add the white sugar and pumpkin puree to the egg mixture.
  4. Pour the mixture over the bread and mix lightly 2-3 times.

Crumb Topping:

  1. Mix the brown Sugar, flour, and butter in small bowl, use the back of a fork to mix the crumb topping.
  2. Sprinkle on the top of the pumpkin french toast.
  3. Bake on 350 degrees F for 35 min until the top is golden brown.
  4. Dust with powdered sugar and serve warm drizzle of maple syrup.
