Today, I’m going to demonstrate how to use the Hamilton Beach mini chopper. We acquired this handy appliance during Christmas last year, and it has been a staple in our kitchen ever since. Whenever we don’t want to bring out the large food processor, this mini chopper works perfectly. Today, we will be making a salad dressing using it.
Let me show you a few things I appreciate about this chopper. It can be disassembled into separate pieces, and it lays flat on the back, indicating the correct side for assembly. The blade is easy to remove for cleaning, and the top simply fits on. To start it, all you need to do is press it down. However, before we begin, I need to plug it in. Once it’s plugged in, we can proceed with making our salad dressing.
Now, I’ll move it forward so you can have a clearer view. To make this salad dressing, we’ll need two tablespoons of peanut butter, a teaspoon each of ginger and fresh garlic, a teaspoon of sesame oil, and a tablespoon of soy sauce. I’ve also added two tablespoons of water for blending, and we can adjust the consistency with more water if needed. Watch how smoothly it operates.
As you can see, the chopper effectively blends all the ingredients. We’ll take out our small bowl, and here’s our salad. By the way, this is a purple cabbage salad with a touch of red pepper, carrot, onion, and mixed lettuce. Let’s go ahead and pour the dressing over it. Then we can give it a taste and mix it all together.
Now, I must tell you, this is a delightful summer salad that you should definitely try. If you’re growing tired of the usual summertime salads, I highly recommend this purple cabbage salad with the delightful peanut, ginger, and garlic dressing. It’s truly delicious.
