We went to the the soft opening of this new bagel shop in Wake forest, NC.
We have a lack of good bagels here in the triangle region of NC. Our go to has been all the way down Falls of Neuse to NT Bagel or downtown Raleigh to Transfer Food Hall for Benchwarmers bagels. Both places have lines to wait in on the weekends.
I am told there are a few others including a Bruggers but I have never really been impressed with them.
What did we like about Jeff’s Bagel Run?
The bagel was scratch-made so it did not come in as frozen dough. It was mixed and proofed the evening before it was cooked. The result was a soft bagel that did not have to be toasted.
The creme cheese was a creamy and had lots of flavor. Much like the spreads I remember from my days in Boston. It did not come from a tube premade and stored in a warehouse.
I had the savory chive and onion on my bagel and if you look closely you can see the red onion bits. They had so many fun flavors like cannoli, cake batter, and banana pudding.
The staff was friendly and welcoming. Many had been at work since 4:30 AM.
They truly wanted to be there and were happy to help you in any way the could. As a matter of fact one of them actually took the picture of all the bagels in the wire baskets for me with my phone. Thank you!
We are giving Jeff”s Bagel Run Wake Forest 5 out of 5 hearts
Want To See More About Them?
We got to meet their Head of Marketing and she told us about the bagels, the origin, and about another new location coming in to the area in Q1.
