Pineapple Mango Salsa

Refreshing with a sweet and spicy taste. This side dish goes perfectly with grilled meats and seafoods!

Ingredients

  • 1 Pineapple Fresh
  • 2 Mangos Fresh Ripe
  • 1 Poblano Pepper
  • 1 White Onion
  • 1 Tsp Cayenne Pepper can add more to taste
  • 1 Tsp Salt
  • 2 Tbs Cilantro Fresh
  • 1/2 Lime

Instructions

  • Wash the pineapple and the mango
  • Rinse the cilantro and the poblano pepper
  • Wash the lime
  • Peel and core the pineapple Save the core for Pineapple water and the top to plant in the ground
  • Cut into tiny bite sized bits
  • Peel the mango and remove the flat oval shaped seed
  • Cut the mango into tiny bite sized pieces
  • Mince the poblano pepper
  • Mince the onion
  • Chop the cilantro
  • Combine all of the ingredients in a large bowl along with the cayenne pepper and salt
  • Cut lime in half and squeeze the lime
  • Give the salsa a god stir
  • Chill for at least one hour before serving.
  • Taste and adjust the heat with the cayenne pepper and salt.

Notes

Variations:
Add red bell pepper for more color 
If you do not like cilantro simply omit it 
Fresh jalapeno may be substituted for the poblano pepper
 
If you are serving to guests make sure they know there is mango in the dish, Some people may have a sensitivity to mango in their diets.  You can always omit the mango and it becomes a pineapple salsa.
