Equipment

  • 1 Kitchenaid Mixer
  • 1 Rolling Pin
  • 2 Baking Mats
  • 1 Measuring Cups
  • 1 Multiple Measuring Spoons
  • 1 Bowl
  • 1 Knife To divide and cut the dough

Ingredients

  • .25 oz Active Dry Yeast 1 small packet
  • 2 ½ Cups Water Warm not boiling
  • 2 Tsp Sugar
  • 2 Tbs Olive Oil
  • 6.5 Cups Bread Flour
  • 1 Tbs Salt

Instructions

  • Pour warm water and sugar into mixing bowl, sprinkle yeast on top of water. Don’t stir, just let it sit on top for approximately 10- 12 minutes. You will start to see it foam on top.
  • Add the olive oil, salt and 2 cups of flour, mix together using a dough hook or by hand.
  • Continue to add the flour 1 cup at a time (leave approximately  ½ cup to the side). You may need to add it or a tad more depending on how your dough is developing.
  • Continue mixing until the dough is elastic like and there is no more flour in the bowl.
  • Empty dough onto a floured surface or simply hold in your hand and knead and fold it approximately 15 times and form into a ball.
  • Place the dough into a greased bowl (using non-stick spray, or few drops of oil).
  • Cover the bowlby placing a damp kitchen towel on top
  • Let it rise for approximately 1 hour, uncover punch down few times and recover for another hour.
  • Pull the dough from the bowl and fold and roll over your hand a couple of times. Your dough should seen smooth and silky as you do so.
  • The dough is now ready, divide and cut.
  • Flour your surface and the rolling pin
  • Roll it out to form an even thickness. Stretch a tad larger than the pan you want to cook your pizza on as it will shrink back.
  • Make sure to use non-stick spray on the pan you intend to use
  • Dress pizza up using desired sauce and toppings
  • Cook at 400 degrees for 24-28 minutes
