Fattoush Salad

Fattoush is one of our favorite Labanese salads. It is vibrant, yet creamy, and salty. It is a great accompaniment to chicken, steak, lamb, or even beef. It is a perfect summer salad when tomatoes and cucumbers are abundant.

Ingredients

  • 3 Roma tomatoes chopped
  • 3/4 English Cucumber chopped
  • 2 tbsp Feta Cheese crumbled
  • ¼ Red Onion sliced
  • 3 Scallions sliced
  • 3 Mini Bell Pepper chopped
  • 2 tbsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • 4 Radish sliced
  • 1 Lemon juice
  • 1 tsp Sumac
  • 1 tbsp Zaatar
  • Salt and Pepper

Instructions

  • Gather your vegetables, rinse under cold water, pat dry and and cut all in similar size adding together in a bowl
  • Add feta cheese, olive oil, lemon juice and dry ingredients. Mixing everything together and serve cold (recommend chilling in fridge for 20 min before serving)
  • Add some chopped lettuce to a salad bowl, add couple scoops of fattoush mixture and couple peaces of homemade pita and mix all together.
