Basil Salt

Equipment

  • 1 Mini Food Processor
  • 1 Spatula
  • 1 Convection Oven Optional

Ingredients

  • 1/3 Cup Basil
  • 1 Cup Sea Salt

Instructions

  • Wash and dry the basil
  • Preheat your convection oven to 220F
  • Pulse the basil
  • Add the salt and pulse it all together. It smells fabulous at this point
  • Spread the basil salt onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper
  • Cook the salt and basil for 10 minutes on convection/bake and them break it up with a spatula
  • Place it back in the oven for 10 more minutes
  • Feel it to make sure it has dried to your liking
  • Place it back into the food processor and pulse a few more times (Optional) creates a smaller grain of salt
  • Put it back in the oven for 5 more minutes (optional) Ensures a good and dry product for storing

Notes

If preparing in an oven that is non convection - adjustments must be made to time and temp
