Ingredients
6CupsChicken Unused Parts with Bones
2CupsCarrotsrough chopped
2CupsCeleryrough chopped
2CupsOnionrough chopped
8CupsWater
4ClovesGarlic
2Bay Leaves
5Thyme
2Rosemary
Salt and Pepper
Instructions
Combine all the ingredients together in a crockpot.
Cook on high for 6 hours stirring occasionally.
Strain the stock over the sink into a large bowl or pot using a fine mesh colander
Let it rest off the heat to cool down for 2 hours max
Place in the refrigerator overnight. Next day scrape off the fat that accumulated and hardened on the top of the liquid and discard it.
Place the cooled stock into gallon zip lock bags (double up) and freeze flat.
If you are not using it within a couple of days, donāt forget to write on the bag the name and the date you made it.
Notes
You can make this on the stove top if you donāt have a crockpot. If using the stove, cook on high and bring to a boil. Turn down to low and cook for 7 hours, stirring occasionally.
