Slow Cooker Turkey Chili

Ingredients

  • 4 Lbs Ground Turkey
  • 2 Ea Large Onions Chopped
  • 1 Tsp Garlic Minced
  • 3 Ea Bell Peppers Chopped
  • 32 Oz Red Kidney Beas Drained
  • 32 Oz White Beans Drained
  • 32 Oz Canned Tomatoes Crushed
  • 2 Cups Water
  • 1 Tbsp Olive Oil
  • 3 Ea Beef Bouillon Cubes
  • 4 Tbps Chili Powder
  • 1 Tbps Cumin
  • 1 Tbsp Onion Powder
  • 1 Tbsp Garlic Powder
  • 1/2 Tbsp Coriander
  • 2 Tsp Oregano
  • 3/4 Tsp Cayenne
  • 1 Tsp Black Pepper
  • 1/2 Tsp Salt or To Taste

Instructions

  • Turn slow cooker on high add olive oil and pre-heat for 15 minutes
  • Add chopped onion, minced garlic and ground turkey. Don't mix for 20 minutes, let it cook.
  • Once mixed let it continue to cook for another 20 minutes without mixing.
  • Add dry seasonings and mix, add canned tomatoes water and bullion then mix again.
    Continue to cook for another 45 min on High
  • Add beans, allow to cook on high for another 1 1/2 hours
  • Taste and adjust seasoning as needed, reduce to low and continue to cook for the last 45 min

Notes

Serve with a sprinkle of shredded cheese and a peace of our easy Sweet Potato Corn bread.
