Peanut Butter Balls

These candies taste better than the store-bought peanut butter cups . Yes, even better than the famous brand name. What's even better are the simple few ingredients that are used to make them.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 Cup Peanut Butter Creamy
  • 1 Cup Powdered Sugar
  • 3 Tbsp Butter Salted
  • 4 Oz Chocolate Bar 65-75% Cocoa Preferred
  • 1 Tsp Coconut Oil

Instructions

The Filling

  • Make sure your butter is room temp and spreadable (If you need to speed up the process, cut the butter into small chunks and let it sit near a warm place in the kitchen)
  • Mix together the butter, peanut butter and then slowly add the powdered sugar into the mixture.
  • Roll into small balls approx 3/4 to 1 inch size
  • Place onto a baking tray lined with wax paper. Make sure you select one that will fit into the refrigerator. Cover them and place them into the fridge while you melt the chocolate.

The Chocolate

  • Fit a small saucier or heat proof bowl over a saucepan, fill it 1/4 of the way with water and bring it to a simmer.
  • Reduce the heat to the lowest possible setting and break up your chocolate bar into the saucier or bowl.
  • Add in the teaspoon of coconut oil
  • Stir the chocolate constantly as it melts.
  • Once you see the last of the squares melting down remove the chocolate from the heat and set the bowl or saucier on a towel
  • Get your peanut butter balls from the refrigerator and get ready to dip.
  • One by one use a toothpick a fork or a dipping tool and roll the balls so that they are completely covered and place back on the cool lined baking tray to drip.
  • Once you have them all dipped, place the balls back into the fridge for a minimum of 30 minutes.
